2019 Colour Run

On Tuesday 26th November Year 11 students of VCE Physical Education (PE) conducted the second Sirius College Colour Run.

As a component of their SAC, they had to organise the venue, powder, obstacle course activities, and collect donations as part of an initiative to promote physical activity in our school.

The students worked hard and were ready to go, except the weather had other plans.

However, nothing was going to stop them despite the high wind, hail and rain. The girls set the course up and were ready for students to come and participate in the colour fun!

Students in periods 6 and 7 braved the elements and ran the course. It consisted of an inflatable obstacle course 14 metres long, hoop stepping, partner ball run, hurdle challenge, limbo gauntlet, tunnel crawl and tyre run.

At each station, staff and Year 11 students were ready with colour at hand to cover the students. Some ending up like rainbows by the end of the course!

Students were rewarded with a sausage sizzle at the end, thanks to the pastoral care team for cooking up a storm.

The final hoorah was the colour throw, which made for a very colourful ending to the day.

A huge thank you to VCE PE students and Year 11 volunteers, students and staff who endured tough and unfavourable conditions, to make this event so successful.

The Cancer Council will benefit from the profits donated and made on the day.
